I'm a self-taught technologist with an eclectic academic background. With a B.A. in History, I've done graduate work in History and doctoral study in Medical Information Science. In October of 2007 I completed a Masters Degree in Knowledge Management at CSU Nothridge. My initial goal was to teach at the community college level, but life often has other plans.
Professionally, I've spent twenty years in technology operations and support, with over fourteen in managerial and executive roles. Currently I'm the Director of College Technical Services for Ventura College, where I'm the senior technologist on campus driving enterprise and instructional services and support.
My current passions include, baseball, reading, writing fiction and my family (pictured left in Washington DC in the Spring '04). We maintain a blog (sort of) for the boys, so family can keep up with their exploits -- also linked above. I'm active with OWW (OnlineWritersWorkshop), and am actively seeking representation for a completed novel.
Stop by again some time. I'm hoping to post a sample chapter or two from my stories in the near future.
